That looks awfully familiar
When exactly did it become OK to so blatantly rip off other websites??
Case in point, a very unoriginal Friendster knock-off:
http://www.friendscene.com/
Midwestern oddities, psychological phenomena, Red Sox rants, the joys and sorrows of higher education, and a whole lotta nothin'.

That's dubious at best. Do you think it's a satire? Like maybe in a few weeks it sends you messages telling you all your friends think you're a poop head. and that they secretly saw you picking your nose in homeroom and that you shouldn't deny it because the faker is the maker. and that you have cooties. and then teasing you about your crushes. Yeah, because that'd be frustrating, wouldn't it. If that happened. Again...
I dont think its a ripoff. I dont like using this term but I think its inspiration. Both sites learn from each other. Because Friendster used to have Java pages and after Friendscene is launched, Friendster moved to PHP then they fire the developer who made their site. Poor Joyce Parker (woman who made Friendster) :S
I am a user of both sites and while they both have blogs, messages, and other things, Friendscene and Myspace were the first sites to offer blogs and chat and other cool features. At the time Friendster was very very slow. It still is a little slow :(
