Strange juxtaposition

Right now, Bush and Kerry are debating right in the spot where I shot jumpshots during the IM basketball season last winter. Yeah, weird.

I've discovered something. John Kerry understands that political decisions are full of subtleties and nuances, as politics is. Bush would like things to be simple. Bush has messages that are simple. Kerry is trying to show people that nothing is as simple as Bush would like it to be. I like that.

But...can you tell me three things wrong with your jump shot?

Aaron, thank you for asking that question. It's a great question. I respect it and I understand where it's coming from. I'd love to tell you three things wrong with my jumpshot. But the truth is, it's never wrong to take a shot when you think you can score. The best way to protect our lead in games is to be on the offensive, not defensive. And yes, maybe I made a few airballs, and shot the ball where there actually was no basket. But I'm committed to keep shooting.

I believe, the forward when he says that he has a plan to make the jump shot. But I wouldn't go it alone against our enemies. We have made the game a harder place for jump shots by shooting from mid court, and routinely "pantsing" our guards, centers and fellow allies. I believe the forward is committed to scoring, but when I gave him the ball I authorized him to shoot only when open, or when the clock was running out. He has routinely hoisted up prayers with 32 seconds on the shot clock. This violates decades of precedent going back to George Gervin.
